    Get the app

Your Orvi Body Scan pairs with Unique Health, the app that powers every reading you take. It's a two-minute download, and everything else on this page happens inside it.

Works with any iPhone or Android from the last several years, connected over Bluetooth.

    Set up your scale

    Three things, in order.

    1. Place it right. Insert the batteries, then set your scale on a hard, level floor, tile or wood, not carpet or a bath mat. Carpet throws off the electrical signal the scale uses to read your body, so keep it on a hard surface every time.
    2. Set up your profile. Open Unique Health, create an account, and enter your height, birthday, and sex exactly. These numbers calibrate every reading that follows, so it's worth getting them right the first time.
    3. Pair your scale. Step on with bare feet to wake the display, then follow the in-app binding guide. You'll see a confirmation once it's connected. You can always check the status under Mine › Equipment Management.
  3. 3

    Connect your Wi‑Fi

This is what keeps your readings syncing automatically, no need to open the app every time you step on.

    1. In the app, go to Mine › Equipment Management › your scale › Configure network.
    2. Select your Wi‑Fi network and enter your password.
    3. Wait about a minute while it connects. You'll see “Network configuration successful” when it's done.

One thing to check first: your scale needs a 2.4GHz network, not 5GHz. Most home routers broadcast both. If you don't see your network in the list, look in your router's settings for the 2.4GHz option.

    Take your first reading

    The Orvi Measurement Standard

How you take a reading matters as much as the scale itself. A few small habits now are what turn today's number into a trend you can actually trust.

    • Same scale, same hard, level surface, every time.
    • Same time of day. First thing in the morning, after the bathroom, before food or fluid.
    • Similar clothing each time.
    • Dry hands and feet, with full contact on all the electrodes.
    • Stand still for a few seconds and hold the handle bar with your arms slightly away from your body.

This exact protocol is built into the Orvi Progress Workbook, so every reading you log is measured the same way, and actually comparable.

    Understand your numbers

Your dashboard tracks up to 18 metrics. Three of them matter most.

    Fat %

The number you want moving down.

    Muscle mass

The number you want holding steady while fat comes down. Most scales never show it.

    Weight

The least useful number on the screen. On its own, it can't tell you what you actually lost.

    Your dashboard also tracks:

    Visceral fatFat around your organs
    Water ratioHydration level
    Bone massEstimated bone density
    BMIHeight-to-weight ratio

A note on accuracy: the Orvi Body Scan uses the same 8-electrode approach as clinical body-composition devices. Like every consumer body-composition tool, its strength is a consistent trend, not single-reading precision. Read the direction across days, not any single morning.

Your Fuel Plan, Protect Plan, and Progress Workbook turn these numbers into a week-by-week plan. If you haven't opened them yet, look for the download link in your order confirmation email.

    If something's not working

Most hiccups here take under a minute to fix.

Usually not. Body composition readings shift a little day to day, mostly from hydration. If you're on a GLP-1 medication, the day or two after your injection often means less appetite and fluid intake, which can nudge a reading on its own. That's expected, not a fault in the scale. Compare your weekly trend, not any single morning.

Confirm Bluetooth is turned on and your phone is within a few feet of the scale. On Android, also check that location services are enabled, some phones require this for Bluetooth scanning to work. If it still won't connect, close and reopen the app, then try pairing again from Mine › Equipment Management.

Double-check you're connecting to a 2.4GHz network, not 5GHz (see the note in Step 3). Confirm the password, and keep your phone close to the scale while it configures. If your router broadcasts one combined network name, check the router's settings for a way to split the 2.4GHz band out separately.

Confirm the batteries are seated correctly, then step on firmly with bare feet on a hard, level floor. The display wakes on contact, so a light tap usually isn't enough.

Weight is a simple mechanical measurement. Body fat, muscle mass, and the other composition numbers use a small electrical signal that's more sensitive to hydration, food, and timing. Following the Measurement Standard in Step 4, especially measuring at the same time of day, fixes most of this.
