Orvi vs Withings, RENPHO and InBody for GLP-1 (2026).

Orvi vs Withings, RENPHO and InBody for GLP-1 (2026)

Here's how it compares, including where the others are stronger.

The short answer. All four are 8-electrode scales with a handle, and on hardware they're closer than their marketing suggests. The difference comes after the reading: Orvi is the only one of the 4 built around GLP-1 nutrition and training systems, with a review every 4 weeks that tells you when to adjust, and what to do next.

How we compared them

We compared based on what changes your results on a GLP-1. That means what each scale shows you, what it costs in total, whether anything sits behind a subscription, and what guidance you get to act on the numbers.

We didn't compare accuracy. All four use the same underlying technology, and no home scale is precise, including ours. What matters for a trend is consistency. Same conditions, same reading. That is what makes a trend readable.

What to look for in a body composition scale on a GLP-1

  • It shows fat and muscle separately. Weight alone can't tell you what's coming off.
  • You can measure the same way every morning. Consistency matters more than any spec sheet, because the trend is what you act on.
  • You know the total cost. Check whether anything you'll rely on sits behind a subscription.
  • It comes with a way to act on what it shows. A falling muscle trend is only useful if you know what to do about it.
  • It makes the four-week call easy. Daily readings wobble on every device. The four-week trend is the one worth acting on. It should be clear and decisive.

Withings BodyFit: the closest rival

What it does well. BodyFit reads six zones of your body through a retractable handle and reports more than 40 data points. It comes from the best-known name in connected health, it's built with people on GLP-1s in mind, and it gives you habit suggestions in the app between weigh-ins. If you want the most detail from a single device, it's a strong choice.

Where Orvi is different. Withings shows you what's happening and suggests habits. Its deeper coaching, an AI assistant and a session with a nutritionist, sits in the optional Withings+ subscription service. Orvi arrives with complete GLP-1 training and nutrition planning, wrapped into a single purchase: a protein target set from your goal weight, home resistance sessions with a shorter version for low-energy days, and a review every four weeks that turns your trend into what to do next. The Protect & Grow System gives you both systems, in order, for one payment of $169 and no subscription.

RENPHO MorphoScan Nova: the lookalike

What it does well. The Nova is an 8-electrode scale with a 4.3-inch color screen built into the handle, more than 50 metrics, segmental fat and muscle mapping, and no subscription fee. As a piece of hardware, it's good value.

Where Orvi is different. The architecture is the same. What the Nova doesn't include is any GLP-1 context or a plan for what to do with the numbers. If all you want is a scale with a screen on the handle, the Nova is a good one. If you want the reading and a system to act on it, that's what Orvi is built for.

InBody H20N: the clinic name

What it does well. InBody is the name many clinics and gyms use, and the H20N brings its 8-point electrode design home, including patented thumb electrodes on the grip.

Where Orvi is different. In the app, the H20N reports whole-body results: weight, skeletal muscle mass, body fat, basal metabolic rate, BMI and an InBody Score. It doesn't break your arms, torso and legs out separately, and it comes with no GLP-1 guidance. At $299, it costs more than the Orvi Body Scan with the Protect & Grow System, $259 together.

Where the others are stronger

If raw data is what you want, they give you more of it. Withings reports 40+ data points and RENPHO 50+, against Orvi's 18. RENPHO puts a color screen on the handle. Withings and InBody have bigger names and wider retail reach than a smaller brand like Orvi.

None of that is what Orvi competes on. Orvi was never meant to be the scale with the most numbers. The scale is there to prove the plans are working. The systems are what move the needle.

Which should you choose?

If you want a data-rich scale and a plan you'll build yourself, any of the four will read your trend, and the table above shows how they differ.

If you want the reading and a plan to act on it, built for the low-appetite days a GLP-1 brings, that's the gap Orvi was built to fill. The Orvi Body Scan measures fat and muscle with 8 electrodes. The Protect System gives you a protein target set from your goal weight, 3 simple home sessions a week, and a review every 4 weeks. You pay once, with no subscription, a 2-year warranty, and a 60-day guarantee, or 100 days on the Protect & Grow System.

Nobody is watching the muscle.

The Orvi systems are built to protect it while the weight comes off, and to build it back once the weight settles.

Or find your system

Orvi's systems, emails and articles are for education. They don't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and they never set, change or recommend a dose of any medication: those decisions belong to your prescriber. Talk to your clinician before you change how you eat or exercise. The Orvi Body Scan is a wellness device that tracks the direction of your own readings over time; it isn't a medical device. Orvi isn't affiliated with any medication maker. Results vary from person to person.
